The Coffee plant was first brought by French settlers in the 18th century and soon it has taken a place in everyone’s home, which made Brazil the number one producer of coffee in 1840 to till today. In the year 2016, it has produced about 2,595,000 metric tons (5,714,381,000 pounds) of coffee beans. Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, and Parana are ideal areas for growing coffee in Brazil. About 300,000 plants are planted over 10,000 square miles in the Brazilian land.

#Vietnam

The second largest coffee producing country is Vietnam. In the year 2016, it has produced about 1,65,000 metric tons of coffee, which is a huge progress. If we look back,  then we can see that Vietnam, has quickly improved its coffee production rate, from 6000 tons to 2 million tons. In the year 2014, Vietnam has produced 1.65 million tons of coffee.

#Colombia

Do you know, which country produces the highest amount of Arabica coffee? Colombia is one of the renowned producers of Arabica beans, which also known as Arabian coffee. It has produced about 696,000 million tons of coffee in the year 2014.  Although it has suffered a loss in production due to climate change, still it has managed to be one of the top coffee producers. In the year 2016, it produced about 810,000 metric tons of coffee beans.

#India

India, the country of cultures, produced about 348,000 metric tons of coffee beans in 2016. The coffees are mainly grown and harvested in the southern part of the country. The coffee which is grown in India is mainly exported to Europe and Russia. Coffee is grown in the rainfall conditions, and they are often planted in the side of spices such as cardamom and cinnamon that gives it another level of aroma. India is also known for top producers of shade-grown-coffee beans.

#Ethiopia

The geographic home of Arabian coffee is Ethiopia. It has a very rich coffee culture as about 15 million Ethiopian citizens are employed in the coffee production factory. It has produced 384,000 metric tons in the year 2016 and it is serving the coffee industry for 1100 years. The Limu, Harar, Sidamo, and Yirgacheffe beans are the varieties of Arabica coffee beans that are produced by Ethiopia. And, it is being protected by the government of Ethiopia. The concept of coffee production in Ethiopia is brought by a legend goat herder, who got the plant and soon realized the benefits of it. The coffee plants production in Ethiopia plays a pivotal role in its economy. About 390,000 metric tons of coffee it has produced in the year 2014.



#Indonesia

The perfect climate and condition have made Indonesia, one of the highest exporter of Robusta beans in the world. They have produced about 411,000 metric tons of coffee in the year 2014. In 2016, it has produced about 660,000 metric tons of coffee beans. Robusta coffee beans are the most popular coffee in the world. It tastes little bitter, less sweet and it contains twice the amount of caffeine.
